About
Inside legal cannabis since 2013.
Intel Cann Co was founded in Colorado in 2013, the year before recreational sales began. It is the cannabis division of SJ Shah & Co.
What we do
We build Intel Cann Co's proprietary cannabis intelligence aggregation and analysis tools. They power COSINT, the ICC Platform and our consulting work, so every product and engagement starts from the same verified picture of the market.
That work rests on more than a decade inside the industry: running a wholesale exchange, a 450+ acre cultivation and processing operation, investor relations for a public cannabis company, and compliance programs built around state statutes and regulations.
Founder

Sohum J Shah, Founder & Principal
Sohum founded Intel Cann Co and the original Cannabis Commodities Exchange in Denver in 2013. CCX became one of the first wholesale exchanges for licensed cannabis businesses, trading inside Colorado's regulatory and track-and-trace framework for more than 200 licensed businesses.
Sohum's work since then includes leading investor relations for MassRoots, a publicly traded cannabis technology company; co-founding The Grow-Off, the first science-based cannabis competition; running a 450+ acre cultivation and processing operation in California; and writing for The Cannabist, The Denver Post's cannabis section.
Sohum holds a dual degree in finance and information systems, with post-graduate training in cybersecurity. That data background goes back to GIS research published in the Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal.
